Instructions for Authors

Authors must read and follow these guidelines before submitting to PMRP journals. Submissions must be made through the journal’s online system, with the main manuscript anonymized (no author names) and a separate title page containing author details, acknowledgments, and other identity-revealing information. A cover letter should confirm the work’s originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, and that it has not been submitted or published elsewhere. Manuscripts must comply with the prescribed format; incomplete or improperly formatted submissions will be returned. Plagiarism must be below 15%, and use of generative AI is discouraged. Self-citations are generally discouraged, but up to 10% may be considered if linked to high-quality WoS publications.

The initial editorial check will be completed within one week; suitable manuscripts will undergo the first peer review within 1–3 months. Final acceptance follows satisfactory revisions. The number of authors should not exceed six, except for approved international collaborations. Ghostwritten manuscripts will be rejected. Articles should be 8–15 pages, with 8–10 figures/tables maximum. Authors must not reproduce figures or tables without proper copyright permissions, and reuse from previously published works is discouraged. The editorial board’s decision is final.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

PMRP publishes manuscripts as Original Articles, Review Articles, Case Studies, and Letters, all of which must follow the journal’s standard templates. Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English and adhere strictly to the prescribed format. The typical structure includes: Title Page (title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author contact, Acknowledgements, Conflict of Interest Statement), Abstract (150–250 words), Keywords (4–6), Main Text (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion), and References.

Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Fig. 1, Table 1) and placed close to their first mention. References must follow IEEE style; in-text citations should appear sequentially as [1], [2], [3]. All measurements should be in SI units, and scientific names italicized. Authors should avoid jargon, use clear headings, and ensure correct grammar and spelling. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) using the official template, within the word limit defined in the journal’s scope. Non-compliance may result in processing delays or rejection before peer review.

Ethics Statement (COPE Compliance)

PMRP journals strictly adhere to the ethical guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity in research and publication. Submitted manuscripts must represent original work, free from fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or redundant publication. All authors should have made a significant contribution to the work and must approve the final version before submission. Studies involving human participants or animals must comply with relevant ethical regulations, and appropriate ethics committee approval should be obtained and documented. Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest and acknowledge all funding sources. Reviewers and editors are required to treat submitted manuscripts with strict confidentiality and to evaluate them solely based on academic merit. Any ethical breaches, once identified, will result in corrective actions including retraction, notification to authors’ institutions, and possible blacklisting from future submissions.

Plagiarism Policy

PMRP journals have a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. Authors must submit manuscripts with a plagiarism/AI check report, or PMRP will conduct the check using plagiarism detection software for a minimal fee. The acceptable similarity index is below 15%, excluding references, quotations, and standard phrases. Plagiarism includes copying text, figures, or data without proper attribution, and self-plagiarism, where substantial portions of an author’s previous work are reused without citation. Manuscripts exceeding the limit will be returned for revision or rejected. Authors should paraphrase carefully and cite all sources accurately. Repeated or intentional plagiarism will result in blacklisting and notification to the author’s institution. This policy protects academic integrity and preserves the trust of readers, reviewers, and the research community.

Copyright & Licensing Policy (e.g., CC BY)

Upon acceptance, authors will be required to complete a copyright transfer or license agreement depending on the publication model chosen. For subscription model publications, copyright may be transferred to the publisher while authors retain certain rights, such as reuse in academic presentations and institutional repositories. For open access articles, PMRP follows the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. This ensures maximum dissemination and impact of the published research. Authors retain full ownership of their work under the CC BY license while granting PMRP the right to publish and archive the article. Any third-party content included in the manuscript must have proper permissions for reproduction. Authors are encouraged to review licensing terms carefully before submission to select the option that best suits their dissemination goals.

Author Fees (APC Details / Waiver Policy)

PMRP aims to keep publication costs low while upholding high quality. Subscription model publications are free for authors, with access limited to subscribers or provided on request. In the open access model, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to cover peer review, editorial handling, typesetting, DOI registration, and online hosting. APC rates vary by journal and are kept minimal. Details are listed on each journal’s webpage. Waivers or discounts may be granted based on the quality of the work, upon formal request at submission. APC payments do not influence editorial decisions, which are based solely on scientific merit.

No author will be denied publication solely for inability to pay.
